Document Input Methods

1. Secure Email Integration

  • Each office receives a unique, secure email address
  • Add this address as a CC to your fund communications
  • Documents are automatically captured and processed
  • Ideal for ongoing fund updates and regular communications 

2. Portal Connections

  • Direct connections to investment portals
  • AI agents automatically gather documents daily
  • Eliminates manual downloads and uploads
  • Maintains continuous data flow

3. Manual Upload

For one-off documents or historical records:

  1. Navigate to the Documents page
  2. Click 'Add Documents'
  3. Either:
    • Drag and drop files into the upload area
    • Browse and select files from your computer
  4. Submit for processing

AI Processing Workflow

When a document enters Copia through any method, our AI:

  1. Classifies the document type (e.g., K-1, capital call notice)
  2. Extracts key information and financial data
  3. Creates or updates assets as needed
  4. Links documents to relevant entities and assets
  5. Updates your dashboard with new information
