Adding Managers

Organize your key managers, institutions and strategies.

Managers act as a rollup for assets, documents, and contact information. They can be based on institutions, individuals, or a mix. By default the system has one manager called "Self Managed." The Self Managed manager is you! This is where you will roll-up any asset you manage on your own, and is a catch all for new assets.

Adding a Manager

To add a Manager, navigate to the Manager tab on the left-hand side and click the '+Add Manager' button in the top right-hand corner.

Fill in some details about the manager. Some people prefer to use managers as a place to reference institutions (investment firms, or key point of contact, for example.) Add key details that you have, including a photo or LinkedIn Profile. Click 'Save' when ready.

Moving Holdings Between Managers

You can migrate holdings from one manager to another. For example, you may want to move holdings from Self-Managed to an institutional manager. There are a few ways to go about this.

Inheriting Holdings On Manager Creation

When you add a new manager, you can indicate which current holdings belong to that manager.

From there you can select the manager and the underlying holdings.

When you create new accounts you also need to select a default manager. This means that any new assets associated with a particular account will automatically be associated with the appropriate manager.
